New Directions

When I started this blog in 2008, I'd been a published author for about 2 years or so. And I was an avid blogger and hosted lots of authors on the blog and published book reviews. These days the blog has been relatively silent because I just haven't had time for talking about publishing or books. Now that I am coming to the end of of my Masters studies and will be graduating with my MA in Education this spring, I feel ready to return back to blogging. But with a twist...

Along with occasional posts on my books, book reviews and writing, I plan to add posts about homeschooling, Classical education, and teaching creative writing. I hope you will come back soon and tell your friends.

My Author Anniversary--9 Years an Author!

I missed it but yesterday was my AUTHOR BIRTHDAY! On December 15, 2006 my very first book (The Spirit of Christmas) released with By Grace Publishing. Nine years an author!

When that book released, I was so pleased. I didn't care if I published anything else but of course it was all just the beginning. When that publisher went out of business, I rewrote the book and submitted it to another publisher. It was renamed All I Want for Christmas and came out in 2009. In 2011, I pulled the book and it's just been sitting on my computer ever since. I plan to do another rewrite and Indy publish it myself in the future.

In the meantime, I've written a prequel to that book, and I'm including in my newsletter this week. Have you signed up? http://eepurl.com/bgISMz

Brand Spanking New Website

Almost two years ago, I started back into writing. At that time, I had my husband help me redo the website using that difficult html. It might not be so hard for some, but I'm a history major and as with most history majors things like math and computer code are just not our forte. Although, I am pretty good at Algebra nowadays.

A week ago Friday, I had a new book release and we had yet to update the website. And really it needed a complete overhaul again. Husband's been swamped at work and then my Mac hard drive crashed. Had to get a working computer first and then figure out how I could update the website myself. Lo and behold I found my website provider had an easy to use website builder. This was new! Wouldn't it be awesome if this was something I could use to build a new website and then be able to make changes all on my own!! Can you see my building excitement?

And Voila! After THREE HOURS of mind-numbing work, the website is completed. Love for you to come by and check out the site. What do you think?

And P.S. If you hadn't noticed, I changed the look of the blog too. Nice, right??
